On tonight’s show We started out with Unsanitary Napkin and the song TERF war. We played that in honour of Pride month and Chris will be starting of with a set of pride related material. Chris has some new releases. I speak with John and Harri from Johnny and the G-Rays. And Andre interviews Christina Wong and Daniel Innes about Denison Avenue which is a book about Chinatown.

Johnny and the G-Rays 
Last summer we spoke with John MacLeod about Johnny and the G-Rays around the launch of a film which captured a performance at the Palais Royale. The film is screening again next week on Thursday in Hamilton and Saturday at the Paradise in Toronto. We got to speak with John and Harri from the band just a couple of weeks ago and this is part of that conversation.

We will be putting up a more in depth interview on the blog that has stories about Talking Heads and a show that ended up in a fight at U of T, and in depth talks about the album. But more importantly coming up this Thursday (June 15th) at Westdale the band will perform and the film will screen and then the same thing will happen on Saturday June 17th at the Paradise Cinema starting at 6:00pm.
