NDY 2018 - Wednesday October 10th - Sunday October 14th, 2018

This DIY punk fest is in it's eight year as a fest highlights include SHEER MAG return to NDY for the first time in 4 years after conquering the world, bringing with them Dublin’s current reigning champs of Power-Pop, THE NUMBER ONES. TURNSTILE, along with Western Massachusetts EBM Goths BOY HARSHER, Bay Area dreamers CULTURE ABUSE, and California hardcore legends TERROR out on the road spreading the gospel of their new record with the crushing power of HARMS WAY.Twisted hardcore maniacs ANGEL DUST come through, as the IMPALERS return to Toronto, with their Scandinavia-by-way-of-Texas charge. Not to mention a visit from Denton, Texas’ masters of melody RADIOACTIVITY and the return of SWEARIN’, celebrating a new LP. And we’re lucky enough to get a visit from the brains behind Bogota’s infamous Casa Rattrap, MURO, Northern Sweden D-beat ragers PARANOID, and Nola’s synth punk killers SPECIAL INTEREST. ORION will be bringing their gloomy pop all the way from Sydney, along with TØRSØ’s ripping hardcore attack. And on top of all that, we’re helping to celebrate the release of TOMORROW’S TOO LATE: TORONTO HARDCORE PUNK IN THE 80s, with the return of NEGATIVE GAIN to the stage.

The whole thing will begin in earnest on October 10th, with a retrospective art show on CASA RAT TRAP, Bogotá, Colombia’s punk fortress. The gigs start later that night, with a pre-fest gig at the Monarch Tavern with Pop Wig rockers BIG BITE. And from there, the madness continues. On top of that, and despite the end of DDL, we’ve got the return of NO OUTROS Karaoke on the Thursday as well as Chris Murdoch’s BLACK DOTS presentation on the Black Roots of Punk at the Sunday matinee.

As always, we aim to have the shows as accessible as possible but please note not all venues are accessible. Accessibility info will be available as specific shows are announced.
