The Regulators were one of the few punk bands from London Ontario. They were heavily influenced by Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground and even had a female keyboard player which was a little unique among the groups in the city. Their first single was the third release on Ready Records. The band featured The Regulators are: Jeff Morritt on vocals and guitar, Dave Lightfoot on vocals and bass, Jay Henderson on vocals and drums, and Debbie Horowitz on vocals and piano. The songs on the single are:
1. That's Right, Nothing's Left
2. What's In The City

Just discovered this blog while googling Jeff Morritt to see if his name ended with one 't' or two, so as long as I'm here I think I'll mention some sad news - Dave Lightfoot, bass player of the Regulators and several other London bands, passed away a few weeks ago. I believe it was a heart attack. That's him on the cover with the checked shirt. Also, I feel it's also worth mentioning that there were actually a proportinally large number of punk bands in London Ontario considering the size of the city, which was only about a quarter of a million people back then. In the early years/ Thinking of 77-80 there were the Demics, Regulators, Sinners, NFG, VD Teens, Stoves, Heaven 17, Crash 80's, Zellots, Generics, Enemas, Infidels, Deletes, Terminals, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
