The Varukers (Nick) 

I had a chance to speak with Nicholas Jackson-Wynch who is the guitarist in the Varukers. He used to play in the English Dogs and joined the Varukers two years ago. The Varukers are playing at Vertagogo tomorrow night and the Hard Luck on Wednesday. We start offwith a song from the Damned and Defiant LP. Here is “Allegiance to None”.

Jonee culture 

I was watching the Devo documentary on Netflix and I was taking in everything they were saying about this subversion of American ideals using pop culture references and the song Come Back Jonee came on and I heard this set. A review of punk and it’s critique of Johnny culture starting off with the Devo song….

I came across this band in a facebook post about a show they played at the Baby G. I thought new Canadian band, I should check it out. It has floored me and makes me sad about missing the play here. The band is called Piss, they are from Vancouver, and they are tagged as hardcore meets noisecore.
