Adictox are the first band to play Toronto who come from Cuba. They come from the center of Cuba in a place called Santa Clara. Solidarity Rock has been working hard at bringing them here and their first show was tonight at Coalition T.O. We had a chance to speak with the band through an interpreter earlier this afternoon. Here is that interview.

During this interview the band talked about their connection to a band called Eskoria. You can find a download Eskoria's here. Punks in Cuba took to duo-infecting themselves with HIV as a way escaping persecution from the police. Check out this documentary done by Vice on the scene in Cuba for what drove the Frikis to self-infect. Thanks to Ian Wilkinson for bring this to our attention.
