Pride really kicks off this weekend so we have another set of pride punk. We have a feature interview with Blue Oil who were an all woman punk band from Montreal in the early 80’s. Andre will be looking at Tied Down fest in Detroit and this will be a two part series, so he is focusing on Day 1 of the fest. Day 2 next week. We have a couple of new releases sets by Rob and Chris. And Andre has sourced tonight’s demo feature which is a local band named Fertilizer.

Blue Oil was an all women punk band from Montreal in the post punk vein. They released their own single called “Money” in 1982. They played a lot around the province of Quebec. And they have a full length collection that has just come our collecting a number of recordings. We are going to start off with one of those previously unreleased tracks which addresses urban congestion. This is a track called Sardine City.
