The Sound of your City drive

 

Tonight's EXD's portion of CIUT's funding drive. The theme is "The Sound of your City" and so as a way breathing life into the theme tonight's show will feature only Toronto bands. there are so many great bands in the city at the moment and so many from the past. Appreciate the sound of the scene that gets kicked around by the rest of the country. In addition we have a few pledge incentives that can only be gotten by calling in between 10:00pm and midnight on Sunday night. Those gifts include:

We have been plagued by breakdowns on the production studio and as a result had to replace a new computer and we have had steady interruptions by construction crews around the station that have cut into our broadcast lines. Acrid "Eighty Sixed" LP

This was the vinyl re-issue of the CD that Ted and I released on Dirty Kidz Records. This is now out of print but was initially pressed with 1,011 on clear vinyl and 505 on Black and Red vinyl. The release was mostly recalled due to a glitch in the centrepiece artwork for the B-Side which might explain why it is out of print. The songs on here are:

Acrid / Left for Dead "Hacked to Pieces" LP

These two bands did a split with each other early on. The record was cut in a buzzsaw shape and it was jagged. I mean you could hurt yourself with it if you weren't careful. No Idea released the split in multiple pressings and the pressing information which may help figure out what you have:

Acrid "Eighty-Sixed" CD

After Kyle left the original line up of the Swarm he wanted to continue with a band that would be influenced by bands like Acme and Morser. Acrid became that band, where Kyle recruited a bunch of new kids from the scenes in Burlington, Oakville, and Mississauga. Michael would go on to drum for the Swarm and the Cursed. Ted Wong and I started a new label to release this CD which was to be called Dirty Kidz. Rob Sanzo recorded this, James Cavalouzo mixed a song, and Matt Jones did the artwork. The songs on here are:
