Dishrags CD

The Dishrags were orginally from Victoria and later moved to Vancouver where they would be forever known as a Vancouver band. Jade, the band's singer, was cousins with chris Arnott of Vancouver's first punk band the Furies. The Dishrags were originally known as Dee Dee and the Dishrags. This CD came out in 2007 on Jem records and compiles the band's three singles from 1978 through to 1980. The songs are:

Various Artists "All Your Ears Can Hear" Double CD

This is a truly amazing compilation. It is one of those scene documentary pieces but instead of it being a film this is a comp. Jason Flower was the main person behind the project and as a result the comp needed to be on 2 CDs. An amazing book where each band participating gets a page that is used to help find out details on them. And the scene they document is their own which is in Victoria, BC. Vancouver is documented pretty well but the scene that NoMeansNo grew out of isn't. The Neos is probably the only other band really known from here and that is only by hardcore collectors. And being geographically isolated Victoria had a chance to develop on thier own more so than other scenes that were on touring routes. As a result you get a snapshot of just some collected highlights of Victoria. You can inquire at Supreme Echo about the availability of this comp but I doubt there is any left. Vicious Cycle "Germ" ep

Vicious Cycle's second single had seven songs on it. I think the band initially released this single and a 2nd presing was put out by Radio 81 and P Trash. The band fused the ZERO BOYS and early DESCENDENTS with CAREER SUICIDE and TERMINAL STATE. Ysaél Pépin of DEMONS CLAWS did the silkscreened artwork and involved two more limited pressings.

Sudden Impact "No Rest from the Wicked" CD

This was the first of two CD releases by Marquee Records out of Brazil. It was part of a Classic core series by the label and coincided with some releases by Toronto thrash metal bands. This first CD collects the first album "No Rest from the Wicked", the demo "Freaked out", a live show from Montreal recorded in 1986, and some tracks recorded with the "It Came from the Pit" comp.
