This was my favourite NoMeansNo record of all time. The was the last one with Andy Kerr. There was magic in the Wright brothers-Kerr line up. If you are to get any record this would be my recommendation. Be Strong Be Wrong. The songs on here are:

Zine - Rear Garde #38

Issue #38 of Rear Garde features interviews with Lydia Lunch, War Brides, Lunachicks, Public Enemy, Scream Third Man In, Flaming Lips, and Dead Milkmen. There are scene reports and reviews providing a cultural time capsule.

Zine - Confuzed 4

I was more involved with the fourth issue of Confuzed. I think I helped with the layout and the photos and some of the writing. But Joel did most of the interviews.

The zine coloumn continues in this issue but has a name which is called "Raggin'". This column mentions Still Thinking, Robzine, dripping Pig Mucous, Something Smells and then some other zines like Subruban Voice and Sold Out.

The music reviews section is called Looney tunes and has lots of live band shots scaterred throughout.

The issue starts out with a piece on Death Angel, Agnostic Front, and Das Damen.

There is an interview with Joey Shithead about the 10th Anniversary for DOA, with All when Dave Smalley sang for them, and More Stupid Initials (M.S.I.), which is much more detailed than anything else I have read on the band.

But the best part of this issue is the back cover which has Jamie Problem in the buck at a show they played with SNFU at Ildiko`s. It is hilarious looking and makes it`s way into the Chris Walter`s book on SNFU.

MSI "An Amazing Feat" ep

This is MSI's second ep. There is a bunch of other songs that the band recorded in this same session. One of them came out on the Still Thinking comp called "Progress?!?". The rest of them remain unreleased. Joe Boyden who is now a Giller Prize winner for fiction played harmonica on one of the songs on here. Rob Ben put out the record on a label he made up called Bucko-5. I think this might have been the only release on this label. The band covers the Village People on this record sort of. The songs on here are:

Brontocrushrock "Next 5 Songs" ep

Brontocrushrock were a band that Geoff Thomlinson sang in. Geoff did a label called Irate faction and Irate Faction put out the first Direct Action LP. Geoff recruited Dave Cornelius from Direct Action to play in the band. The scene roadie Tom played guitar in this band as well. This was recorded by James Stewart at Reaction Studios. The songs on here are:

Youth Youth Youth "Re-Packaged" LP

After the "Sin" LP was sold, Youth Youth Youth talked to Fringe about re-releasing the material. They came up with the idea of releasing an LP with demoes on one side and the "Sin" 12" on the other. It was called "Re-Packaged" for obvious reasons. Side A starts out with material from a demo in 1982. The songs from this are:

5. Domination (not the "Something to Believe In" comp version)

Side A continues with three songs from a demo recorded in 1983.

This show took place in Guelph. It might have been at a place called the Thrashetria. I think it was on Monday October 2, 1989. My friend and I hitch hiked to Guelph to see the show. I was able to catch a ride home with Tracey Cummings and the group of people she was with.

I think American Standard were from New Jersey and part of the straight edge scene. This new club was in Little Italy in a basement level near a Blockbuster video and was later run by Jeff Cohen before becomng a gay club called El Convento Rico.

Sons of Ishmael "...Sing Generic Crap" ep

The band at the time featured Tim Freeborn on vocals, Glenn Poirier and Paul Morris on guitar, Mike Canzi on bass, and Chris Black on drums. Their faces were pasted on the heads of the Bay City Rollers for this cover art. The back cover made fun of a Rollins record that put Ian MacKaye's name in huge letters on the back cover as the producer. There is also a sample used of Doug Galbraith who was the boyfriend of the Ildiko club owner that would dress up and introduce all the hardcore bands at shows that took place there. Really only known to people in Toronto. Songs on here are:
