The Republic of Freedom Fighters / Render Useless split ep

Both bands were from Victoria, BC. I think this was a self-released split ep between the two bands. The Republic of Freedom Fighters wrote a song called "Year of the Rat" and Render Useless did a song called "This is the second flight of Icarus". Jason Flower from MPA / Break Even records did the recording.

Blowhard "Harsh" ep

This recording was mixed twice and produced by Brian Taylor of Youth Youth Youth fame. This was recorded at Umbrella Studios. Above are the lyrics for the songs found on the inside artwork of the ep. This was released on a label out of Ottawa called vital Communications. The songs on here are:

Various Artists "Smash the State, Volume 1" LP

This was the first volume of what would become a series of comps that would pay tribute to out of press Canadian punk singles. It was a companion piece to the book by the same name and was compiled by Frank Manley and released under the label No Exit Records. Frank was living in Montreal at the time. I know because I distributed these in the city for him. Unlike the Killed by Death series, Frank received permission from the bands to press the eps on this LP format. As a result he was able to include a number art collages related to the band. below are scans of these pages. Click on them to open up larger versions of the pages.
