Flyer - Friday August 15, 2008

A new label in Toronto called Boppa Do Down Records decided to put out a Tyranna record. The band had so much unreleased material. Tim Hanna, is the guy behind the label and he runs a book and record store down at 123 Ossington Avenue called Frantic City. The Teenage Head reference in the store name should be a clue that Tim loves the original punk sound. Anyway, the record came out in the Fall of 2008 and so the band got back together to play a record release show. This is the flyer for that show. Zoe of the Bayonnettes filled in on vocals for Rabies.

Various Artists "Only in Canada, Eh '77-'81, Volume 1" CD

Punk History Canada pulled this compilation together. Unlike the "Smash the State" comps this release just showcased one song. As a result they were able to get loads of bands in on it. And they worked hard at getting regional representation. Unlike the Killed by Death comps, this one focused on Canada. The booklet contains interesting little anecdotes about all the bands found on the comp. The CD contains the follwoing songs:
1. House of Commons - Way Down South
2. Unknowns - Teenage Terrorist
3. DOA - Royal Police
4. Da Slyme - Crazy Glue
5. Warsaw - Do Like the Natives
6. The Action - TVs on the Blink
7. Teenage Head - You're Tearin' Me Apart
8. Bureaucrats - She's An American
9. Zro4 - Gimme Attention
10. 63 Monroe - media Junkie
11. Slander - Petticoat Junction
12. The Neagtives - Echos
13. Lowlife - Thinking Naturally
14. Sinners - No Brains Required
15. Chromosomes - Park
16. Animal Kingdom - Tension
17. Stark Naked and the Fleshtones - I Broke her Heart, She Broke my Arm
18. Extroverts - Living in Poverty
19. 222's - Hold Up
20. Diefenbakers - Colour TV
21. Gentlemen of Horror - Overhead Projector
22. Nostrils - I'm Vile

Here is a flyer for shows at larry's Hideaway for the first week of october back in 1979. It is amazing to me that you could see punk bands every night of the week. Platinum Blonde played the weekend.

Flyer - Thursday August 2 - Saturday August 4, 1979

This show was organized by the guy who booked the Rock Palace at the time. The idea was to have a show with bands that had women in them. Tyranna, Zro4, and the Buns. there was more than one flyer for the show. I think they may have taken turns headlining throuhgout the three days.
