Update: Saturday April 24, 2010
A few weeks ago we interviewed Grant Slavin, the guitarist and singer for Negative Gain. Negative Gain were teenagers from Oakville, Ontario who specialized in playing really fast hardcore in the early Toronto hardcore scene. Based on the strenght of their cassette demo, “Invasion of the Killer Bears,” they caught the eye of Septic Death frontman Pushead. This resulted in the release of the LP “Back from the Dead” on Pushead’s label, Pusmort. Not bad for some kids from the suburbs in Canada. You can hear Grant re-live some of the tales of one of the fastest bands ever to grace the crappy locals that made up the early Toronto hardcore scene. Tune in at 10:00pm on Sunday April 25th. We continue to put up some old Studio 3 live recordings. This week we were able to put up sessions from:
- Suicide Pilots (Sunday, June 8, 2009)
- Sudden Impact (Sunday, December 9, 2007)
- About to Snap (Sunday, November 26, 2006)

UPDATE - October 9, 2009
I started a new section on releases. This is along the lines of Frank Manley's book "Smash the State" with some anecdotes of added trivia. I have only put up a couple of things so far with a focus on the early Toronto Hardcore scene. Up so far are cassette releases by Dead End, and LPs by Youth Youth Youth, Direct Action, Tyranna, and Sudden Impact.
Also I was able to put up Issue 4 of Full Contact Magazine which has an interview with the Cro-Mags in it and seeing as they are coming to town in October I thought it might be appropriate.
There has been a significant amount of additions to the flyer section.
And last week's playlist is up.

Update - October 2, 2009
I started to put up scans of old Toronto punk flyers. The inspiration came from collecting Tyranna flyers from Johnny Bubblegum for an MRR. these can searched under the -FLYER ARCHIVE section or TYRANNA. We also collected a bunch of flyers for the Colin Brunton interview for MRR so I put some fo those up, but they can also be found at the Last Pogo website. Colin has way more flyers up at his site and he gives context to the shows.
I was also able to put up an interview I did with Max Ward about What Happens Next? that was done a long time ago in Full Contact Magazine. I am going to work on putting up some of the other pieces I submitted to Rod for Full Contact. It is just a matter of getting them out of storage. But Christmas is coming and I have to go get the tree so that could be in the next couple of months. I am hoping to find a bunch of other Toronto hardcore magazines.

Sunday, February 8, 2009 - (Featuring: ZRO4)
Zro4 were one of the original punk bands in this city. Zero performed a set with some guys from the era to do a live set and then answered all kinds of questions about Zro4's history. She also brought in loads of unreleased Zro4 material to play for the first time. It was incredible. And as a result of this piece Schizophrenic Records is working on releasing an album's worth of material.
